“Together for Mental Health”

Each May we are reminded of the need to support those who suffer from a mental illness. Research shows that 1 in 5 Americans over the age of 18 struggle with some sort of mental illness. This means that you either have a loved one or someone you know has a loved one who suffers with a mental illness.

Join Barrington Behavioral Health and Wellness as we suport NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and carry this year’s message, “Together for Mental Health”.

By standing together, and supporting those we love, we can create nurturing, healing environments that effectively address mental illness.

Beginning in 1949, each May has been designated “Mental Health Awareness Month” as a time to bring our voices together to advocate for mental health and access to care. This is a special time to reach out to everyone we know that there is hope, and help, to recover from mental illness.

So, spread the word. Together, we can help those who struggle with their mental health.

If you are, or someone you know is, feeling lost, overwhelmed, depressed or in need of support, we at Barrington Behavioral Health and Wellness are here to help.
