The Language of Letting Go – Melody Beattie

Join Kathleen Kenney, LCSW, CADC, of Barrington Behavioral Health and Wellness, and Elderwerks, for a virtual, online, book club.

The title for spring, 2023, will be the classic daily meditation book, “The Language of Letting Go”, by Melody Beattie.

Written for those of us who struggle with codependency, these daily meditations offer growth and renewal, and remind us that the best thing we can do is take responsibility for our own self-care. Melody Beattie integrates her own life experiences and fundamental recovery reflections in this unique daily meditation book.

Problems are made to be solved, Melody reminds us, and the best thing we can do is take responsibility for our own pain and self-care. In this daily inspirational book, Melody provides us with a thought to guide us through the day and she encourages us to remember that each day is an opportunity for growth and renewal.

The book is laid out in the frame work of a 12 Step Program with each month of the year corresponding with one of the 12 steps. As such, it is an ideal daily inspirational for those on the journey through any 12-step program.

Because this is book is a daily meditation, a page for each day of the year, anyone may join us at any time during the duration of this reading.
