Sherilynn, “Sheri”, Asuoha is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Sheri has experience working with children & adolescents dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, adjustment to transitions, stress and resilience. She has worked with adults, particularly those with developmental disabilities. Sheri meets adults, couples and families right where they are to help identify challenges and provide a framework for moving forward. She offers integrative, evidence-based, relational treatments and is committed to walking with people every step of the way on their journey to heal, recover from, and conquer the impact of adverse experiences.

In the past 12 years Sheri has worked within residential settings and has supervised other clinicians. Over the course of her career, Sheri has developed trauma informed programs in residential treatment facilities such as Teen Living Programs (Ignite), Children’s Home + Aid Society, Inc., and Little City Foundation.

Sheri graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2009 with a Masters in Clinical Counseling and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology / Social Work from Lewis University in 2007.

Sheri is a Christian Counselor and is also an ordained minister at her local church. She enjoys writing, psychological thrillers, Star Wars movies and reading DC Comics, the only comic books that matter.
