Heather Reinert earned her MSW (Master of Social Work), with a specialty in schools, from Aurora University in 2020. She has completed her supervision to sit for her clinical test (LCSW) and is enrolled in a program to gain her director of special education endorsement.
Currently, Heather is pulling double-duty as both clinician with Barrington Behavioral Health and Wellness and as a middle school social worker where she works with general, as well as special, education students. She also is the faculty advisor to the school’s LGBTQ+ club.
Heather has been providing counseling in community crisis for a local non-profit that helps youth ages 11-17, and their families, during lockout and runaway situations.
Reinert has worked with children in all manner of modalities. She has provided care for youths at the YMCA daycare for 13 years, driven a bus for special needs students, and has served lunch in an elementary school.
Heather is the mother of two boys, 17 and 7. When she is not working she likes to spend time with her kids bowling and playing board and video games. When it is nice out she likes to take her Kayak out on the water or spend the day at the beach.
