Graduate of Therapy Dog training through “Love on a Leash”

Gracie is a 30 pound Schnauzer mix and received her license to be a Therapy Dog by “Love on a Leash” in 2019.

Gracie was adopted in January of 2015 at approximately 2 years old. Her back story is unknown beyond that she had a litter of puppies shortly before she was adopted.

She loves people and loves to snuggle and receive affection. She makes sure everyone who comes in is greeted with tail wags, some excited whimpering and even a spontaneous lap sit if allowed to do so. She is extremely motivated by food and loves to train and learn new tricks. The only thing I have found she doesn’t like is carrots, everything else she loves, especially peanut butter!

Gracie is not great with other dogs so you’ll find her at the practice when the other therapy dogs aren’t there. Hey, no one is perfect… right?!

Gracie has a sweet temperament and is gentle and gracious with adults and kids and has been providing therapy for friends and family long before receiving her license.
